zoe, i have a question…

Absolutely not! Seasonal Sample Menus are provided as a starting point to help generate ideas about your menu, and to give you an idea of my cooking style. I would love to create a custom menu based around your favourite foods if you wish, though you’re more than welcome to order directly from the Sample Menu.

Normally, customers choose one dish per course for the entire group, with ingredient substitutions being made for those with food allergies/dietary restrictions at no additional cost. I am able to provide two different options per course at an additional charge of £2 per person, per course; this helps me cover the extra preparation time when making the different dishes. To illustrate, if all guests would like to have the same starter and main course but a choice of desserts, the menu will cost £62pp instead of £60pp for three courses. If everyone would like to choose between two dishes for starter, main and dessert, the menu will cost £66pp for three courses.

This depends a little on what menu options a customer selects, but generally if you have a stove top and oven that will be plenty! I’ll make use of your pots, pans, oven trays and chopping boards but will bring any specialist equipment with me (for example my set of chef’s knives). I normally use the crockery, cutlery and glassware available at your home or venue, but can also arrange hire of these items from a local company should you wish.

Naturally! I’ll leave your kitchen spick and span, as well as clean any equipment I’ve used in the process. I’ll load the dirty crockery into the dishwasher (unless you’d prefer me not to) and get that started before my departure.
For events of 10 or more people I would also hire an assistant/waiter to give me a hand in the kitchen and with clearing down at the end of the evening. They’d also be on hand to serve the table, pour wines and take care of anything you might need from a service perspective - this would be charged at an additional cost of £80 for the event. If your booking is for less than 10 guests, the hire of an assistant/waiter is optional.

Once we’ve spoken to clarify any questions you may have about my services or the menu you’d like to choose, to confirm you’d like to make a booking I’d ask you to transfer a deposit to hold the date for your event. This will usually be roughly 50% of the total monies due for the booking, and is non-refundable in most cases. The remaining payment for your booking will be due a few days prior to the event, allowing further time to lock in the details regarding the menu between the payment of deposit and when the final payment is due.
